Earth Day Depaving Event at Peninsula Elementary School

Help Depave Peninsula Elementary School!

All ages and ability welcome! Light duty options available.

Join Depave for a community depaving event at Peninsula Elementary School! Volunteers will be helping to pry up asphalt using pry bars and moving sections with hand carts and wheelbarrows.

These community events include instruction and training for best practices around safety and tool use. This Title 1 Portland Public School has extensive paved surface on the landscape around the school and we are excited to be returning to the site to remove more asphalt to create a living, playful, greenspace next to the kindergarten classrooms.

Location: Peninsula Elementary School | 8125 N Emerald Ave, Portland, OR 97217

Future design of the kinder area created in partnership with Peninsula Elementary School students, families, and staff, National Wildlife Federation’s ECHO program, and the Eco School Network.

*Green Passport Program Event*

Volunteer at two Depave events this spring, and earn a ticket to see CAKE live at McMenamin’s Edgefield this July!
